I started this business because I am committed to supporting people like you in discovering their greatest potential as a leader. The common thread that runs throughout the whole of my career – as an educator, lawyer, college dean, and leadership development professional – is a dedication to helping people maximize their choices in life to achieve “success” in their own terms. It has always been my passion to ask the powerful questions that expand our human capacity for exploring possibilities and making positive change in ourselves and society.

I hold a graduate-level certificate from Georgetown University’s Leadership Coaching Program, a face-to-face coach training program accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). I am a credentialed member of the ICF and subscribe to its Code of Ethics.

Before becoming an independent consultant in 2008, I was the Dean of the College at Woodbury College (Montpelier, Vermont), where I had taught courses and served as an academic leader since 2003. Prior to that, I was a staff attorney at Vermont Legal Aid for several years, and I also practiced as a Vermont Assistant Attorney General in Consumer Protection while I was making the career shift from law to higher education administration. I am a member of the Vermont Bar Association and the Vermont Judiciary’s Professional Responsibility Program, for which I have been providing conflict resolution services in non-disciplinary cases involving complaints against lawyers since 2002. I have been a college-level instructor and trainer for almost twenty years, and I enjoy designing and facilitating professional development events of all kinds. My J.D. is from Cornell Law School, and I also have a Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Vermont. I did my undergraduate work at Middlebury College.
